ZERO-SUM September 2006 cover and freebie


Hey, all-

Slogging through a difficult time, but wanted to share this surprise freebie from the new ZERO-SUM that sure made the day better: an extra cover for the Saiyuki RELOAD tankoubon vol. 7! That's the front of it at right. Scanned the back too:

As Minekura-sensei mentioned in her NITRO diary last week, there isn't a Saiyuki RELOAD chapter this issue (despite it being listed in the issue's table of contents as starting on page 111 ;^) ).

Oh good, Minekura is taking a break. She's been doing Saiyuki non stop for 2 years no? It's sad, but Gaiden comes out so we'll get our Minekura fill for the month ;)

That cover is so many levels of gorgeous. I would buy the book just for that! Too bad I'm so poor right now :(

Hope you're doing okay, KQ :/ You seem really over worked all the time!

Oh, wow, that cover... Meep. I'm totally going to buy ZeroSum anyway this month, because it's absolutely irresistably gorgeous. Especially with that back, which I swear it made me gasp, especially after seeing the front first. Heartbreaking and beautiful and the whole thing is just - yeah. "Pretty" doesn't even begin to cover it! Thanks for scanning it! This one is going in my collection. ♥

Hahah, the table of contents is EVIL. I'll know better than to trust it next time! XD

@_@ Should not have said any of these "phonebook collections" would be wonderful and listed a few, should have just said ZERO-SUM when Pat asked for my wish list for his trip.

He should be back this week so I can still pray ^_^ Maybe he will be lucky enough to recognise the cover art on it looks amazingly similar to all the WA goodies on the list? *crosses fingers*

Well I'll be dammned! O___O that is a frigging kick-ass cover! I'd seen a picture of the takubon but this one is even better! I know a couple of Goku and Hakkai fans are going to be very happy with these demonic hotties XD;

Shame there was no new chapter...wonder why. Here in the states apparently they're going to hold off the next Reload volume (#5) for a whole year! Oh! I bought the new vocal CD, my first from the Saiyuki vocal ones. It's wonderful and I was blown away by the songs and mini-dramas-- they had me really laughing even if I can't understand Japanese .

Hang in there Ms. Kagenami and I hope soon work will slow down for you.

Ooooo how nice! I was just pondering with my roommate an hour ago about what the extra cover would look like..! XD Personally, I was hoping for a color version of the book's monotone cover under the dustjacket (The Youkai Hakkai one).. but this is just as wonderful! *o*)/

And oh-HO Minekura colors Hakkai's vines in green!

Wooo! Stunning! I hope these pieces will be released in text free versions someday. ^_^

It'll be another bloody year before Reload vol 5 will reach the U.S.? Argh! How long will it be before we get 6 and 7 then? And Gaiden and OFFROAD? -_-
